"Hello everyone! I had the opportunity and luck to be a volunteer in Avellaneda, Argentina, for 4 months in (el) 2013. I worked with the educators of the Casa de los Niños (of the Pelota de Rag Foundation), an establishment dedicated to children from 3 to 13 years. This place allows them to grow in a stable environment, where they can have breakfast, lunch, snack, do physical and artistic activities, and above all, be surrounded by the tenderness of the educators who care for them and accompany them during this determining period of their life. .
It was an honor to be involved in this social organization. For me to be a volunteer, it is trying to adapt to a new environment, to get the best out of a new experience. Learn to learn from everything we see and live, without prejudice.
Getting involved in the project of a social organization calls for a true commitment. It is not about dedicating a few hours each week but committing totally to the cause of a project that can improve the living conditions of several men, women and children. Therefore, I think that each volunteer should stay several months and not just a few weeks, in order to develop a true link with the people he will find on his way. For me, being a volunteer is not another form of tourism but the opportunity to share values, smiles, and tenderness, through a cultural exchange to try to fight against injustices.
It was an incredible experience, which marked me a lot. I recommend it to all young people who want to share their tenderness. ”
