Seminar: Planning and fundraising

Subir al Sur, together with CCIVS, developed a training program to educate members of volunteer organizations on Planning and Fundraising. Members of four different networks that are members of CCIVS participated: Alliance, ICYE, NVDA and SCI. In this way, we had participants from Hungary, Scotland, Nepal, Hong Kong, Belgium, France, Catalonia, Italy, Mexico, Honduras, Costa Rica, Peru and Argentina.

The objectives were:

  • Develop strategic planning and fundraising

  • Exchange good practices and tools and analyze different types of financing

  • Initiate synergies at different levels to open doors to different funds

During the training, Rolando Kandel, a member of the SES Foundation, shared a theory developed by the Fortalezas program team to address institutional planning and strengthening. To delve into the topic of Fundraising, we analyzed the current conditions and context of international cooperation. This session was coordinated by Alberto Croce, president of the SES Foundation and member of various international networks. Members of various local organizations also shared their fundraising strategies. Uniendo Caminos, El Arranque and la Sartén por el Mango participated in a panel of local organizations.

For a week, knowledge and experiences flowed among the participants. We took ownership of what others experienced in their organization and shared our experience. For the first time, Subir al Sur held a seminar of this nature and the conclusions have been very enriching for the organization and the network. Now it is time to continue building and sharing.

Anja Stuckert
Anja Stuckert, who has a PhD in education, has more than 20 years of work experience in youth participation, gender equality and international development. In August she started as General Secretary of the ICYE International Office in Berlin. He worked with Plan International in different positions. Anja is passionate about social justice, inclusion and youth participation in social change. She has experience working on programs and campaigns that address the root causes of poverty, discrimination and exclusion in various countries in Asia, Latin America and Africa.

He carried out extension in his primary studies, thus being a Specialist in UBA Endodontics and a Specialist in UBA Prosthodontics. Academically, he fulfills the functions of Regular JTP of the Endodontics Chair of the UBA and Professor of the Specialization in Endodontics UBA.
