Hello everyone. My name is Marina and I live in Tzimol, Chiapas. I am supporting an Agroecological Center called Tsomanotik. The area where I accompany my classmates is in Education, more precisely in a Rolling Library that began to be implemented a few months ago.
The Tsomanotik Library is part of the Center's educational project and was able to be built through different donations and book collections. But the intention was not for the books to remain in a single physical space, and under the motto “More books, more free” reading and playing began to be brought to the neighborhoods and homes, increasing the spaces for imagination and creativity.
When living in an Agroecological Center, part of our daily lives is work on the Earth. So I had to not only incorporate new words into my vocabulary such as coas, creole seeds, arrieras, milpa, humus, compost but also to work with my hands and become aware of the production of my own food, something I had never done before. in my 24 years.
From a little place with the aroma of panela, and with a mate in hand, greetings to each and everyone...waiting for you in the lands of Chiapas.
