Project objectives

Acompañar a los niños en su proceso de crecimiento y ser un protagonista para su propia vida.

project activities

Este proyecto ofrece un lugar seguro para más de 650 niños en diferentes áreas de Buenos Aires. Reciben “merienda” (leche y galletitas) después de la escuela y participan de diferentes actividades.

 

community context 

Hay cuatro centros educativos y cocinas en el sur de Buenos Aires. Trabajan en las áreas más vulnerables del sur de la provincia Buenos Aires, con condiciones básicas.

Volunteer Tasks

  • Work together with other volunteers in a teaching duo.
  • Ayudar para las actividades cotidianas: preparar la merienda, dar apoyo escolar, jugar con los niños y organizar talleres de educación, recreación y arte. 

.– Las actividades se desarrollan a la tarde. Se necesita ser flexible para participar en actividades algún sábado porque generalmente proporcionan almuerzo y realizan actividades. 

  • Volunteers will have meetings every week to talk about some issues and better understand their social interventions as volunteers. As well as to better understand the social, historical, political and economic background of Argentina
  • There are activities organized by volunteers to have exchanges, such as festivals, workshops at school, etc.

Anja Stuckert
Anja Stuckert, who has a PhD in education, has more than 20 years of work experience in youth participation, gender equality and international development. In August she started as General Secretary of the ICYE International Office in Berlin. He worked with Plan International in different positions. Anja is passionate about social justice, inclusion and youth participation in social change. She has experience working on programs and campaigns that address the root causes of poverty, discrimination and exclusion in various countries in Asia, Latin America and Africa.

Graduated with the title of UBA Dentist. He is currently Coordinator of UBA Educational Social Practices. He carried out extension in his primary studies, thus being a Specialist in UBA Endodontics and a Specialist in UBA Prosthodontics. Academically, he fulfills the functions of Regular JTP of the Endodontics Chair of the UBA and Professor of the Specialization in Endodontics UBA.

He has professional experience in the public sector, both with central and local governments, as well as with civil society organizations and cooperation agencies.

From the creation of CLAYSS Civil Association, he was in charge of developing the organization's International Relations, coordinating training and follow-up actions for higher education institutions, and acted as Secretary of the Latin American node of the Talloires de Universities Network. As of 2016 he acts as Executive Director of CLAYSS.

He currently coordinates the training of volunteers for the different activities carried out by the organization.
