Volunteer trip to VILLA ANA, SANTA FE with the # IVS4ClimateJustice Campaign

In July we carried out an intercultural volunteer trip or “workcamp” in the town of Villa Ana, Santa Fe, attended by young volunteers from different spaces and institutions within the framework of the “Volunteering and Leadership” project promoted by the Program of Strengthening of the Civil Society of the City of Buenos Aires and the SES Foundation, within the framework of the # IVS4ClimateJustice campaign led by the CCIVS volunteer network, Coordinating Committee for International Voluntary Service.
Together with the Quebrachito organization (Villa Ana, Santa Fe), the meeting was held and young people from Argentina from the Universidad del Salvador, Lanús National University, the Volunteer Area of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires, and the Cooperative participated Just, and a young man from Iceland who is part of our Volar al Sur Volunteer Program.
The objective was to hold an intercultural and solidarity meeting, where young people proposed a workshop on gender violence to provide to the local population. In turn, they contributed to the construction and maintenance of the Cultural Center of the Quebrachito organization, using the Bioconstruction technique.
The "workcamp" was carried out under the campaign IVS (International Voluntary Service) 4 Climate Justice, promoted from the CCIVS network, of which Fundación SES is part. The campaign supports international volunteer projects that promote local actions related to raising awareness about climate justice, addressing issues such as: climate change, carbon footprint reduction, land and water use, ecosystem protection and sustainability. This campaign was carried out in more than 3000 workcamps around the world with more than 30,000 volunteers involved in them.
